The Hanke Building, formerly the Hanke Brothers Department Store, was showcased during the 2017 BLINK installation by the Regional Chamber of Commerce. It was honored as one of the finest pieces of architecture in Downtown Cincinnati. Located in Over-the-Rhine, The Hanke Exchange is composed of 5 buildings (including the historic Hanke Building, the original Woolworth Building, the Sapadin Brothers Coat and Dress Shop, and the Jupiter Dime Store Building). The Hanke Exchange was revitalized and converted to Class A office space with a first-floor retail component, and in 1997, a parking garage was attached via an enclosed bridge, directly behind the Hanke Building.
